Interceptive (Phase I)

We met Erick at the age of 8 when his parents were concerned regarding how his teeth were growing in. After doing a thorough examination and taking x-rays it was determined that the way his upper aw was growing he would not have sufficient space for the development of all his upper permanent teeth. It was decided that early intervention would be beneficial to prevent more serious growth problems at a later stage. Erick was treated with a combination of an Upper Extender to widen his upper jaw and a few upper braces to guide the new teeth in. His treatment time was 15 months. We will now monitor Etick to see how the rest of his teeth develop now that the proper balance has been established.
